Is Pregnancy A Disease?

Little Aku ran to her mother. "Mummy! mummy!! sister Akua is vomiting". Mother sat with tears in her eyes. She'd being in a deep melancholy ever since she saw her elder daughter's condition. She wiped her tears with the hem of the cloth around her waist and carried Aku to sit on her laps. "Hmm, my daughter, your sister has got pregnant". She said while she still sobs.

As a widow, she yearned for brighter hopes for her two children. But Akua's sudden pregnancy soaked her heart into disappointment.

Aku, though, she was six, reminisced some days back when dad laid in bed and mum sat beside him shedding tears. The picture of dad coughing and vomiting dropped into her conscience. She turned and vehemently asked; "Mum!, is pregnant* a disease?" Suddenly mom looked into her eyes and sensed a sign of fear. The tears in her eyes drifted. She sighed. Whew!

Alas, Aku was ignorant of the meaning of "pregnant". Perhaps! mom thought it wise. Why should she shed tears over her daughter's pregnancy? She might have had a reason, because the daughter was just sixteen. But was that the solution? She contemplated on these;
"Pregnancy is not a disease"
